Christmas Tradition: Operation Ornament

Handcrafted Sand Art Ornaments for Essential Workers: THANK YOU!

Phase 1 Operation Ornament: COMPLETE🎄

Yesterday was filled with laughter, creativity, and the spirit of giving as our ABF Kids, adult volunteers, and generous community members came together to make Operation Ornament an unforgettable event! From sand-covered tables to heart-melting smiles, we crafted beautiful ornaments to show appreciation to our essential workers this Christmas.💖

We can’t thank our ABF Kids enough for their hard work, kindness, and boundless enthusiasm. Your hearts shine brighter than the ornaments you made! To our adult volunteers — thank you for dedicating your time and energy to guide, encourage, and support these incredible kids.👽

During our lunch break, we took the fun up a notch with a Christmas trivia game — where everyone competed for mystery holiday prizes! It was a blast, and the laughter and excitement made the day even more special.

A huge shout-out to everyone who purchased materials from our wishlist and to Central Insurance Agency in South Daytona for hosting us and providing such a welcoming space. Your generosity made this event possible, and we are so grateful!💚

This was more than just crafting — it was a chance to spread joy, give back, and build a stronger, kinder community. If you missed out this year, don’t let it happen again! The smiles, fun, and pure holiday magic were truly unbeatable.✨

Phase 2 of Operation Ornament: Spreading Holiday Cheer!☃️

This Christmas morning, we had the joy of delivering over 40 handcrafted sand art ornaments to some incredible local heroes: the South Daytona Police Department, Port Orange Fire Station, Port Orange Police Department, Halifax Port Orange Emergency Room, and even Red, the beloved worker at 7-11.

These ornaments were a small token of gratitude for the essential workers who dedicate their time to keeping our community safe, healthy, and running smoothly—even on Christmas Day.🎄

A huge thank you to Emily and Evan for delivering the ornaments, and to our amazing ABF Kids, their parents, and adult volunteers—Anna, Justin, Sarah, and Lea—for making this possible. Your creativity, kindness, and teamwork brought smiles and warmth to so many this holiday season!🎁

To our essential workers: You are the heart of our community, and we’re so grateful for you

Merry Christmas from all of us at the Ashlyn Bowman Foundation!💜
